Resource System

The system handles the obtaining of resources through mini-games such as fishing and mining, as well as a passive resource system that provides resources over time.

  • Fishing Mini-Game: Players press "Start Fishing" to try and press the correct character sequence within the given time frame to catch fish. Players can select different biomes (via the two buttons in the middle of the screen) to catch a variety of resources.
  • Mining Mini-Game: Players press the "Start Mining" button, then attempt to stop a slider on a resource to gain that resource, avoiding failure sections.
  • Upgrades: Players can equip upgrades to increase their resource yield. Available upgrades are displayed in a dropdown menu on the right-hand side. Once selected, upgrades can be equipped or unequipped via buttons below the dropdown menu. Multiple upgrades can be equipped simultaneously, scaling multiplicatively.
  • Passive Resource Gain: Resources are also gained passively, with frequency determined by a time multiplier. Upgrades affect the passive system as well.

Players can hide the resource UI at any time by pressing the "Hide Resource UI" button, while still receiving resources. Pressing the button again will bring the UI back for manual resource collection.
